Your votes are in and counted.
The most popular topic for our next workshop is ... silent drum roll ... Relaxation, Meditation & Mindfulness.

Flyers with all the details will be available at classes and on this website this week so please pick up a handful and pass them on to anyone you know who could do with some de-stressing!

Minimal "yoga" moves, lots of sitting, lying & breathing, and plenty of quick & "undercover" techniques to practice in the office and at home. And there will be tea and chocolate involved...

You Gotta be Hip to be Happy in October

5/10/2014

Yogis believe that our hips are our storage cupboards. This is where we tuck away the hurt, upset, anger or fear of all those little things that have been said or done to us to make us feel less than amazing. Opening the hips and stretching the muscles surrounding them helps us to release and let go of these things until we one day realise they no longer bother us in the slightest. October is hip month, so get hippy and happy. And quite fearless too.

3/9/2014

Yep! That's right! A FREE yoga class! We are celebrating our very first class at our new venue in Lichfield: the rather posh Darwin Hall (between Waitrose & The Saxon Penny pub).

Yoga is good for just about everything: stress relief, anxiety, digestive ailments, depression, asthma, back, shoulder or neck problems, sleeping troubles, headaches, MS, ME, tight muscles from running, cycling or the gym, fibromyalgia, arthritis, balance, general flexibility, poor posture, strength and many more issues we all face from time to time, so come and see what an hour could do for you! Or simply treat yourself to a little bit of me-time now the kids have gone back to school ;)

So, bring your friends, family, colleagues, neighbours or some of the mums from school, from 7.45-8.45pm for a good stretch, breathe and relax. See you there!

(Parking nearby at Waitrose or adjacent car park accessed from Heathcot Place)

September is All About Balance

1/9/2014

September is about letting the summer fade into fond memories, getting the kids back to school and embracing the changing season, sometimes having summer, autumn and winter all in one day! It is traditionally a time to harvest and prepare for those cold, dark winter days. Practicing balance in our bodies and minds helps us adapt to the changing light and keeps our mood and health in balance too. So September's classes will be about strengthening our legs and cores for grounded resilience, balancing on our toes, hands, sideways and upside-down, and breathing to centre and calm our busy minds. Bring some balance to your life!

Feeding your Inner Fire

16/7/2014

Well done to all who performed the Inner Fire Sequence this week. If you felt the heat, this is why: Parivritta trikonasana (Rotated Triangle) and Utthita parsvakonasana (the Bhima) raise energy from our legs & lower abdomen and build heat/strength/energy in Manipura chakra, our Solar Centre at our navel. Warrior II then lifts this energy up to our hearts, voices & minds. Use this dynamic creative energy for whatever needs a bit more oomph in your life this week. And affirm, affirm, affirm!
