This is Me, This is How I Teach

I want everyone to try yoga & mindfulness, so I teach adults, children and teenagers in halls, yoga studios, parks & out in the forest.
If you feel you are not bendy enough or young enough, or you have a dodgy back, shoulder, hip or knee, you're not super strong
or your balance is rubbish, PLEASE DON'T WORRY!

Come along to class, have a go and realise yoga and mindfulness work in lots of different ways to help you feel stronger and better and happier.

I teach everything in stages, working up to the final pose,
breathing technique or meditation gradually so everyone can achieve their own version while working where they feel comfortable.
My yoga classes are suitable for ALL levels of fitness and flexibility,
from beginners to advanced students, teenagers to adults of any age.

My youngest "students" start at 6 weeks for baby massage,
and I'm so proud to have quite a few people in their 70's
regularly balancing in tree pose or channelling their inner warriors!

I was trained in Dru Yoga, a flowing, gentle style of yoga
which is fantastic for strengthening the back and core. My style has evolved a little to include traditional hatha yoga poses, held for a little longer, and a teeny bit of tai chi & Qi gong because I love them! In class, I refer to yoga philosophy and it is absolutely up to you how much you take that on board. I might mention how each pose or practice is working with the chakras (the energy centres of the body), with the koshas (the layers of body, breath, emotion and thought that make us who we are) and lovely prana (an energy or life-force that flows through us & around us).

Whether you simply want to ease a bad back, improve your balance or get a little bit more bendy, yoga has the potential to gradually transform you;
physically, mentally and emotionally, so you can be the very best version of yourself!
That's why I love it and I hope you will too!
