Autumn has arrived - time to retreat indoors

We have found a cosy, central venue in which to carry on our Tuesday morning classes now that Beacon Park is full of dew and Autumn winds!
Indoor classes will start from next Tuesday, 24th September in the Lichfield Guildhall, Bore Street, Lichfield, WS13 6LX, same time, 10am.
I look forward to welcoming you all there and giving you the opportunity to enjoy a wider variety of asanas where sitting and lying down doesn't incur the risk of frostbite!

Season of mists and mellow fruitfulness...

Autumn is a time when the pace of the world begins to slow down. It is a wonderful time of year to become somewhat introspective, to reflect on what we have achieved this year so far, draw from that what we need, and then allow ourselves to look ahead and move on. In our first month of Autumn we will be looking at setting intentions, letting go and clearing the way ahead. Our Autumn classes will be full of grounding, warming and calming asanas, helping us to combat the cool, windy weather and stay healthy. It is a time to drink warm drinks, eat warm foods and dig out those hats and scarfs. I say wrap up warm, collect a bucketful of blackberries and wild apples and enjoy some oaty crumbles!!

Yoga in the Park Shines On

The English Summer has been very kind to us this year, and I am so pleased with how many people are taking up the opportunity to practice yoga outside. These sessions will carry on into Autumn until it is simply gets too cold, so lets all start bringing some layers!

Classes are on Tuesdays, 10-11am. Meet at the brick building in the centre of the park near the stream.

When it gets really chilly, we will seek an indoor location, so if you do know of an appropriate venue nearby, please do let me know.

The 8 Limbs Workshop

I would like to extend a very big thank you to all of you who attended our workshop in the August break. We hope that you have all learned some useful meditation techniques and that the practical ideas for incorporating the yamas and niyamas into your every day life have already given you some interesting experiences! It was such a great success that there will definitely be more to come!
