Yoga for Teachers & Staff
Teachers today are under increasing pressure from management & governors, Ofsted, parents and their students. Many yoga poses stretch the back, neck and shoulders, releasing tightness and tension and leaving people feeling more relaxed. Learning simple breathing, relaxation and meditation techniques to help relieve stress and tension can help slow down the often manic pace of our thoughts, producing a long-lasting feeling of being calmer, more positive and more creative.
This last academic year I have taught one or more of the following in half a dozen schools throughout Staffordshire and the West Midlands:
- one-off stress management & relaxation sessions for teaching staff
- a series of sessions to teach staff breathing, relaxation and meditation techniques to use for themselves and to teach their students
- weekly after-school classes
