Yoga Day Retreats - Mindful Day Retreats - Yikes (Yoga Hikes)
Unfortunately, due to the restrictions of Coronavirus,
we are unable to run our amazing yoga days on Cannock Chase at the moment.
While as much of our day as possible was spent outside,
the cabin we use to shelter from rain & store our stuff is currently being used
to provide spread out office space for Forestry England.
Both of us are missing running these days and I know many of you are
desperate to get out there with us again too.
As soon as Forestry England are back in their building and it is safe for us
to practice yoga inside our cabin we will be back!
Yoga Weekend Retreat in Wales
This amazing yoga weekend retreat was planned for October 2020.
With the current limitations of Coronavirus, we are waiting to see
if this weekend can still go ahead in some form.
We will update you as soon as we know any more
and will re-open bookings for our last few places if it is to go ahead.
Forestry Wellbeing is a partnership run with my wonderful yoga teacher friend Claire Dunn.
In 2017, we were walking our dogs one day on Cannock Chase and one of us said "wouldn't it be great to be able to bring people here to do yoga outdoors so they can appreciate all of this too?". We looked at each other with wide eyes & Forestry Wellbeing was born.
Our idea was to share our love for yoga, walking and being outdoors in the forest with as many people as we can, keeping these days an affordable little break from normal life to remind us just how beautiful and rewarding being outside can be.
We know that being outside in nature makes us feel lighter, happier, stronger & calmer. We want to help other people feel those benefits too!
These sessions give you the gift of time; letting you leave your worries behind while the forests of The Chase restore your body, mind and soul.
We spend as much time as we can outside: in summer, we stroll barefoot & paddle in cool pools; in winter we walk briskly, practicing warming yoga and drinking cacao round cosy fires. We do live in England, so come prepared for all weathers, with layers, sensible shoes and a smile.
We have a forest cabin to provide a base for tea & biscuits, toilets and a warm, dry place to do our thing if we need it.
For a full list of Ts & Cs and FAQs, please click on the "Booking Terms & Conditions, FAQs" button below.
As these events have limited spaces and always sell out fast, we regret we can not reserve any spaces without payment.
We look forward to seeing you in the woods soon :-)

Yoga Day Retreat, Sunday 23rd February 2020, 9.45am - 3.00pm
February is the perfect month to reflect on love and possibility.
Imbolc is a time to 'welcome the breath of life at the turn of winter to spring.' Imbolc means 'in the belly or womb' implying that the natural world is expectant, full of hidden potential, renewal and life-force. As the plants and trees and animals have started to emerge from their winter rest, it's a time of action for us too. It s a time to start facing forward - to be more yang. A time to make space for the new by clearing out the old and a time to 'check-in' and see how we're doing with our new year's resolutions or sankalpas. Our yoga will be energising and on our walk, we'll keep all of our senses alert as we go in search of signs of the Earth's re-awakening. Maybe we'll find snowdrops or primroses, hear a mistle thrush or a waxwing. Frogs gather to spawn at this time of year so as well as tiny tadpoles, there's also the opportunity to spot damselfly larvae in search of their next meal. We might get lucky and spot some deer. Wildlife is easier to spot at this time of year as the days have started to get noticeably longer but the trees are still quite bare. Back at our cabin, we'll be sharing a delicious home cooked vegetarian lunch and some awesome flapjacks before our afternoon programme of reflection; time to relax, meditate and think about how we can stay in touch with our inner wisdom whilst taking outward action in the months ahead. Places always sell out fast, so to guarantee your place, read through our Terms & Conditions and FAQs above and then click on the Book button below. Cost will be £35 including veggie soup & bread, flapjacks, hot drinks & snacks. |
