Booking Terms & Conditions

Booking
To secure your place please complete the booking form as soon as possible. You will receive an email to confirm your place and we will contact you to take payment. Places are limited by the amount of space we have in the cabin and places have sold out within 48 hours in the past.
Payment
Your place is not secured until we have received payment. As soon as we receive your booking form we will send you details to pay us through online banking. In exceptional cases we may allow you to pay us in cash at the next class you would usually attend.
As places are limited we will not take any payments on the day.
Cancellation by Us
In the event that the event is cancelled by Forestry Wellbeing, a full refund will be offered.
Cancellation by You
In the event that you need to cancel your place, please let us know immediately and we will try to re-sell your place. If your place is resold, we will be happy to offer a full refund.
If you are unable to attend at the last minute, please let us know.
If you're running late, we can wait at Grounds Cafe until 9.55am but to be fair to everyone, we need to all be at the cabin by 10.00am.
If we are out of the cabin, we both need to escort the group so no-one will be able to come and bring you to us. We may be able to meet you when we return to the cabin although this may not be until lunchtime/1.00. Phone signal is not perfect out on the Chase so we're not always contactable by phone during the day.
Physical fitness
For Health & Safety reasons, we both need to stay with the group so we are unable to split up, stay behind or offer alternative routes.
By agreeing to these terms and conditions, you are stating that you are confident you will be able to walk the distance (2 or 4 miles) on your event day and that you are physically fit enough to participate in the day's activities.
Please contact us before booking if you have or have had any of the following in the last 12 months and that are not being controlled by medication: a heart condition or high blood pressure, chest pains, dizziness or fainting, any chronic medical condition.
If you have any concerns about attending the event, please contact us before booking.
Mindful mornings will offer shorter, gentler walks closer to the cabin, so perhaps try one of these first if you have any concerns.
Data Protection & Use of Your Data
We will only use your data for the purposes of Health & Safety, contacting you in case of cancellation and informing you of upcoming events that we are running. We will not share your information with any third parties and will keep all information safe and confidential.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where am I going?
All of our events are based at Birches Valley Forest Centre on Cannock Chase, Rugeley. Use the postcode WS15 2UQ for SatNav; the entrance to the car park is off Birches Valley (Road), near the corner with Penkridge Bank Road.
Where do I park?
Park anywhere in the car park. The bottom of the hill is close to our morning meet point, and the top of the hill is near the cabin and playground. Parking is £6 per day, so please bring change with you.
Where do I go once I'm there?
Our cabin is a bit hard to find so meet us at the tables in front of Grounds Cafe. Please arrive here AT LEAST 15 minutes before our start time so we can walk you all up to our cabin to start at 10.00.
Do I need my own mat?
If you have your own mat then yes please bring it with you. We will provide mats to put under yours if we are using mats outside. If you don't have a mat then just let us know in advance.
What should I bring?

Bring your yoga mat, water bottle and your own mug/cup for hot drinks. Bring a blanket or extra layer for relaxation. Dress appropriately with warm layers & a waterproof jacket if it's cold or wet, or sunscreen & flip flops for paddling if it's hot. Make sure you've got sturdy shoes for walking on gravelly paths and down muddy banks.
You can leave most of your things at the cabin throughout the day as we will lock it when we go out. Any valuables brought with you are entirely at your own risk and Forestry Wellbeing will not be liable for any losses.
Will we be outside?
Yes! We intend to be outdoors as much as possible so be prepared for that. Some of our practice may be indoors and if it's really hot or cold or wet, we'll use the cabin. We reserve the right to modify our practice dependant on the weather.
How long will the walk be?
On most of our sessions we will do a walk of about 2 miles. During our "Yikes" we'll walk about 4 miles. All walks are likely to involve uneven ground, steep hills, gravel paths and no doubt some mud, so please be prepared for this with sensible shoes and strong legs!
Is there a minimum age?
Children from 4 and up are welcome on our Family Forest Fun days. On Yikes, Day Retreats and Mindful Mornings, the minimum age is 14 years.
What's for lunch?
On full days, we'll provide a vegetarian lunch, either soup & fresh crusty bread or cheese, salad & couscous. With fruit, biscuits, teas and cold drinks available all day, you'll be well looked after. Please feel free to bring anything else you want to.
